I came on at the very start of this project and helped to establish the visual style of the show, alongside Jacques, the Art Director and Ant. As well as developing the show we were heavily involved in building up the 2D studio as this was Blue Zoo’s first venture into 2D Animation. This involved working closely with the Pipeline Technical Director to set up the work flow of the Background Department as well as recruiting and creating style guide documentation.
As Background Supervisor my main duties were over to review artwork, and guide and assist the background paint team where needed. Below are a few of the very early backgrounds I did, that helped us cement the show style.
